Trusted Transitions. We can't say enough good things about John Thomas and his crew at Trusted Transitions. He's a knowledgeable and engaging guy who delivered on every promise he made. He looked at everything in our house, assessed what would sell (and what might not), researched the high-value items, organized the items to make them more presentable for sale, and then promoted and ran the sale efficiently and thoroughly. Then afterward, he gave us a line-by-line itemized list of everything sold. And, per our wishes, cleaned out our house of the stuff that didn't sell and donated much of the items. He's witty and sharp, and was the perfect person to help us through this process. Going through a house full of heirlooms, memories, and tchotchkes is never easy, but John was terrific every step of the way. Highly recommended!

My aunt handed him a handful of what she thought was costume jewelry, and he went through it all and found several gold chains and returned them to Bettye. His reports at the end of the sale outline everything sold and prices.

We interviewed six companies and ended up with Trusted Transitions, owned by John Thomas. We found John to be incredibly honest, realistic, reliable, with a great personality. The company’s work is impeccable. They follow through and do exactly as we wish, with their opinion on things. We are having and huge estate sale because we're downsizing. Ninety percent of what we are selling is high-end, and they have valued each single item with price tags that have the price and description. The other companies we interviewed were nothing even close. I attended several other estate sales and their "help" was not courteous at all.
Trusted Transitions provide everything you will need, including clean-up and such. Additional help is hired on the days of the sale to provide more security. It is the best company out there. They are humble, down-to-earth, flexible, easy to work with, and organized. I'm a professional organizer, and definitely...five stars for these guys. It's hard for me to do it for myself because I'm emotionally attached to the sale. I'm picky and critical. They've surpassed my standards. The length of experience and popularity about other companies did nothing because the proof was in the pudding. They didn't hold a candle to Trusted Transitions. They really care about you and not just about the sale.

I recently did an estate sale with a company called Trusted Transitions here in The Falls of Autry Mill. I cannot say enough good things about the owner, John Thomas, and his company. Anyone who has ever moved or dealt with cleaning out a parent’s home knows how stressful the process is- and if you haven’t done it before and are about to, trust me, it’s stressful for sure, and any help along the way is SO appreciated! Trusted Transitions was just the help I needed. John Thomas was the ultimate professional in helping me with our estate sale and made the whole process so much smoother than I could ever have hoped for. He is the rare gentleman who conducts his business in a totally honest and honorable way. When he said he’d call back, he called. When he said he’d be there, he showed up. And if there was a circumstance that he was running late for any reason, he always texted to let me know that too. At the first meeting with him, he said he would be totally transparent in all the estate sale details, and he was true to his word- I was given a detailed accounting of every item sold and for how much, and what each of us received in our percentages of the sale. He and his crew worked incredibly hard to get the sale set up, and he went to extreme efforts to uphold his contracted promise to deal with every single item that did not end up getting sold in the sale by packing up the remainder to be either donated or brought to a consignment shop that was interested in selling the bigger finer pieces of unsold furniture. Every one of John’s crew was extremely polite and friendly- a real pleasure to work with and get to know. Trusted Transitions also took the lowest percentage of sales totals of all the companies I spoke with in my initial interviews with companies-so that just made the icing on the cake. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, hardworking company, please try Trusted Transitions. I’ve had friends who did their own estate sale, and they said it was a nightmare. After doing the sale with Trusted Transitions, I cannot even imagine trying to do all of that work on my own. He’s even a licensed appraiser, so he knew exactly how to price all the items. I would have had to spend countless hours on the internet trying to figure out how to price things if I had tried to do everything on my own. One of the items I had considered donating to Goodwill earlier, ended up getting priced for $600 (because John Thomas knew its real value!) and was the thing that had people lined up at my door before the sale even started. I loved that he advertised my sale on estate sale websites that included good photos of many of the items in the sale. John Thomas covered every base. He and his team of guys did SO much work-he earned every single penny of his take on the sale sure.

This is a letter of recommendation for John Thomas and Trusted Transitions. John handled the estate sale of our mother’s house in the Buckhead section of Atlanta. John’s desire from the beginning was to serve his client in the most honorable and respectful way possible. He understands the circumstances regarding an estate sale and considers it an honor and privilege to be entrusted with such a task at such a difficult time. We initially spoke with John over the phone, and he spent as much time as needed explaining how he got into the business and the mechanics of the sale. From the moment we met in person, we knew we could trust him implicitly, and he treated the house as if it were his own. He is in the business for the right reasons – he wants to do the right thing for his client while maximizing the value of the estate. His commitment was outstanding. He spent countless hours going through the entire house, cataloging all the items in the sale. (He found things we did not even know we owned.) If something was of a personal nature or significant value, he confirmed with us if we did indeed want to sell it. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to educate his clients as to an item’s provenance and value and prices it accordingly. He was diligent and caring throughout the entire process. He was responsive and available any time of the day if we had questions or if he did. John went the extra mile throughout the sale, from preparation to execution to follow-up. It was a pleasure to work with him, and we cannot recommend him highly enough.
